The promising smart watch, Imilab W12, from the brand integrated into the Xiaomi ecosystem offers us a good design, a good screen, and a price that is accessible to everyone.
Design
One of the great claims of the Imilab W12 is in its design, with a very elegant classic line and very good finishes.
At first glance, we find a circular format with a brushed aluminum alloy chassis with the screen glass “protruding” from the chassis itself.
This is a large and somewhat heavy watch, with standard 22mm straps and pin closure.
Continuing with the review, on the front we find a fairly pronounced black frame, two action buttons.
Finally, at the base, we will find the charging sensors and pins.
Interface
We are going to focus on the most interesting, all the options that it offers us at the interface and function level and everything that we are going to be able to do with it.
In this Imilab W12, we find ourselves before a very simple interface, in it we find a very visual menu with direct accesses and everything grouped in “bubbles” in multilanguage language.
We can scroll through all the menus using the touch screen since the upper button is to lock the screen and the lower one is direct access to sports.
Waking up the screen we will access the main menu, showing us the sphere or watch face that we have configured. We will have a lot of options available and also the possibility of putting a personalized image or photograph.
Going down from the main menu we will access the quick settings, with the brightness of the screen, configuration section, “find the phone” and do not disturb mode.
From right to left we will access some widgets and quick cards, with the daily activity summary, heart rate measurement, blood oxygen measurement, time, sleep summary, and music player.
From bottom to top we will have the notifications section with a very basic interface, it only shows us a part of the text that they have sent us and the information comes out quite “pixelated”.
Functions
To access the complete section of functions, we will slide from left to right and we will find them grouped in small bubbles:
- To start with, we have the training mode, which has 13 sports activities.
- We will have the most common ones like running or cycling and also some not so frequent ones like yoga or climbing.
- We will also have the summary of daily activity, heart rate measurement and oxygen saturation, weather, sleep, and notifications section.
- The music player, from which we can control the playback of our phone.
- A submenu called “functions” where we will have the option to search for our phone through an audible warning, a simple stopwatch, and a timer.
- Finally, we have the settings section, from which we can configure the brightness level and the sphere of the main menu, and little else.
Box and Content
The Imilab W12 comes in a box where we find the design of the watch and a description of its most important features.
Inside we find the watch, magnetic charging cable, and multilanguage instruction manual.
